Members & Profiles
The heart of any community is its members. FluentCommunity provides a complete set of tools to manage the people who join your platform, from how their profiles are displayed to the permissions they have.
This section of the documentation covers all features related to your users.
What is a Member Profile?
Every user who joins your community gets their own profile page. This is their personal space to build their identity. A standard profile includes:
- A profile picture and cover photo.
- A bio to share information about themselves.
- Social links to connect outside the community.
- Tabs to view their activity, the spaces they've joined, and more.
The Member Directory
The directory is a central, searchable list of everyone in your community. It's the primary way for members to discover and connect with one another, fostering a true sense of community. You, as the admin, have full control over its privacy and visibility.
User Roles & Permissions
To help you manage your community effectively, FluentCommunity uses a simple but powerful role-based system. You can assign different roles to users within each Space, giving them specific permissions. The primary roles are Member, Moderator, and Admin.
